Our Bar ATL (UPDATED FOR JUNE 2020): Health Promise to the Community

Updated: May 30, 2020

As businesses around Atlanta start to slowly and cautiously reopen their doors, Our Bar ATL is also looking to safely do the same here on Edgewood. Therefore, we decided to update our April 3rd health promise with the latest information and recommendations. We are also a proud signatory to the Old Fourth Ward Business Association's recently announced "Pledge to Public Health."

While we plan for a safe and restricted dine-in reopening, our Pop-Up & Go menus will continue with new chefs and their range of diverse and delicious cuisines. Contactless payment options and curbside pickup will both remain available indefinitely. We want our patrons to feel comfortable and safe so they can enjoy our rotating pop-up menus to the fullest.

We hope our health promise (updated for June 2020) presents a clear and reassuring picture of how Our Bar ATL is updating its measures for COVID-19. As the CDC, health officials and experts put out more information, we will continue to modify our plan accordingly to ensure the safety of our staff, our patrons and our community.

Kitchen Pop-Up & Go Procedures

  • Our rotating Pop-Up chefs will wear masks and avoid contact with patrons during Pop-Up & Go hours.

  • Sanitize kitchen food-contact surfaces, equipment and tools frequently.

  • All Pop-Up & Go menus will be digital-only and receipts will be given electronically.

  • Re-clean/Re-wash all produce on-premises to ensure real-time cleanliness.

General Staff Policies

  • Staff will wear masks on-premises, as well as for curbside pickup.

  • All team members will receive in-house COVID-19 training and complete ServSafe COVID-19 classes.

  • Manager will check temperatures of all staff (including for off-site shopping) and send home anyone with a temperature over 100.4 degrees or presenting with symptoms.

  • An alarm will remind staff to wash hands every 20 minutes.

  • Complimentary hand sanitizer will be provided to all of our patrons.

  • Masks will be available for sale on-premises, and we strongly encourage patrons to bring their own.

  • Masks and temperature checks will be required for all patrons for our dine-in service, which will be private, reservation-only and initially, on weekends only.

Capacity & Social Distancing

  • The takeout line for our popular Pop-Up & Go will be marked for 6' social distancing both inside and out front on the sidewalk.

  • Our Bar ATL will only allow 40 patrons (10 patrons per 300 square feet of public space) inside at any one time.

  • Tables are limited to 6 people and/or single parties only.

What We Request from Our Patrons

  • Stay home if you're feeling unwell.

  • Avoid close contact with others, especially with those outside of your party.

  • Wash your hands often.

  • Avoid touching your face.

  • Wear a mask when possible.

  • Use contactless payments when possible; cashless payments are a good alternative.

Our Bar ATL is always available if you have additional questions or concerns as we strive to do our part to keep our staff, patrons and community safe. Message @ourbaratl or email info@ourbaratl.com for more details.

Love, your friends at Our Bar ATL.
