Every book you read increases your ability to change not only your own world but also your community's. In the midst of a panic-struck year full of fear and hype, there's no better time than now to step back and re-discover the sheer beauty and power of reading.
Led and organized by @tacoootaylor, 'What's Hood Book Club' is a local Atlanta book club seeking to change the narrative in our O4W community and culture by elevating and educating each other. Rather than a gathering of hardcore readers, this is instead a growing family of people from all walks of life seeking to collectively explore the world of reading and then slowly fall in love with it.
“Show me a family of readers, and I will show you the people who move the world.” – Napoléon Bonaparte
Reading doesn't have to be a solitary and lonely endeavor. This humble Atlanta-based book club is all about helping each other learn about the new worlds we can find in each book. Through the act of reading, book club members will find that it leads to the pleasure of conversation and interaction with their fellow readers. From there, new friendships and communities are gradually built on a shared fascination with the written word.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss
